Oh yeah~ My cosplay comp

Just a little uploading of the skits I won prizes for at Supanova Brisbane 2008. It was much fun~ ^_^ I just wish it lasted longer~ I won Best Overall Cosplay on both days. Woo! Very exciting~! ^o^

First trial for EAPs

EAP sneak test 1 from Robyn Murphy on Vimeo

Started the first stages of work for my EAPs in Pencil...I seem to find it easier/faster to use at home...weird..perhaps it's because I'm in a more solitude environment or something...

Anyway~ Critique/comments are most welcomed! =D

[man this took a bit of fiddling to get this to upload...stupid vimeo not accepting .swf files >_<]

Ben Procter - Concept Illustrater

I thought it would be nice to share with people the online portfolio of a concept artist by the name of Ben Procter. He has made concept work from big titled movies such as Superman Returns, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Matrix Reloaded/Revolutions and of course, Transformers. The site itself has plenty of concept images and 3D work, it also has small animations that show some of his 3D work. The site itself hasn't been updated recently but it's nice to have a goggle at every now and then.

I really like how in the Transformers artwork he shows what he used as reference for tones/shading/colours. He has that for a few of his pieces. It's really interesting to see how they do those types of things. =D

First costume of this Year COMPLETE

This is myself dressed as Alicia from Valkyrie Profile 2. [Original artwork pictured above] Besides a slight belt malfunction that I need to amend to, my main outfit for SupaNova 08 is finished~ Minus the Sword...I will...be hunting that down from someone soon...*watches person making sword intently*

This outfit was a LOT trickier then Zelda. She had much more detail and gold..lots and lots of gold!! I would have to say that Alicia takes top place for being one of my favourite outfits. Besides the fact that this outfit is incredibly hot to wear, I am praying that the day I wear it, it isn't too hot. A very Winter outfit. *nod*

3D Cell Shaded Model/Animation

First of, This is not my work, obviously...This wonderful work was made by 'Sledgehammer', who has posted his work on a art thread on a forum I go to.

Anyway~ To the topic! He's created a 3D character
[Optimus Prime from the latest 'Transformers:Animated' series] using the program Max 7 and the meshes are low-poly Ink n' Paint jobs, rendered out with Mental Ray. [I have no idea what these particular programs are, I'm just typing what he's saying] I would really like to make a 3D character in this style. I'm planning on making my Wildwarp character in this style. *nod* [Ian~ Is Maya able to do this sort of shading/style? If so, could you please possibly show me some time =)]

It's so toony~ <3

EDIT- For some retard reason the last image isn't animating -_-; So I'll host it on photobucket. Since the original link requires Forum User Id.

More Maya facials

The return of the facials! from Robyn Murphy on Vimeo.

Another Maya video for Ian's class. It's an extension to the first video..kind of makes me want to fix up the first part of the clip with more eye and face movements...perhaps in my free time.
